We are back with the latest issue of the portfolio newsletter to share with you all the investment and funding updates at Venture Center. With the experience of operating various funding schemes for technopreneurs for the past few years, Venture Center is geared up for new additions in its grant and equity portfolio. Venture Center is currently hosting two seed funds – BIRAC SEED Fund and DST’s NIDHI SSS.
Under the two seed funds, we have shortlisted four promising start ups for financial support. We have again been entrusted by DST to implement the NIDHI-EIR and NIDHI-PRAYAS scheme under Round 2. We will be looking for promising 10 technologies to support under each of these schemes. Since January 2018, 17 news grantees have been supported under various grant schemes which include BIRAC’s Biotechnology Ignition Grant, NSTEDB-POC Grant and support under Indus Biotech- Venture Center Collaboration on Technology Incubation and Entrepreneurship Promotion.
We are thankful to DST, BIRAC and Indus Biotech (CSR fund) for their funding support and to technical experts for their valuable inputs while reviewing these new and innovative ideas.
