New portfolio company:
More than 10% of India’s pregnant women are hypothyroid, that can lead to severe complications during pregnancy and growth disorders in the baby. Rural India accounts for 70% of such cases. Vidcare Innovations is employing microfluidic principles to develop a rapid, affordable, pocket size, easy to use diagnostic test (Mu-Sure), that can be used anywhere and by anyone to detect different levels of the TSH hormone at different stages of pregnancy. They have developed a working prototype , and filed for patent in India and PCT. Vidcare Innovations was founded in 2017 by Rohan Aggarwal, who holds a B.Tech in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee.
